Description

Improved Product Description for Quooker Active Carbon Water Filter

Keep your Quooker in top condition with this Active Carbon water filter. Specifically designed for Quooker PRO3 and Combi reservoirs (after 2001), this filter helps improve water quality and extend the lifespan of your Quooker. Regular maintenance, such as removing limescale (recommended every 5 years), is essential for optimal performance.

Benefits of the Active Carbon Water Filter:

  • Improved water quality: Effectively removes unwanted tastes, odors, and colors from the water.
  • Healthier water: Filters chlorine and chlorine byproducts, medication and hormone residues, pesticides/herbicides, industrial residual contaminants (including PFAS), and other micro-contaminants.
  • Leak-free installation: Includes a nylon ring for a perfect seal between the heating element and the reservoir.
  • Suitable for: All Quooker PRO3 and Combi reservoirs manufactured after 2001.
  • Replacement: This filter is a replacement filter for the HITAC filter.

Package Contents:

  • 1x Active Carbon filter
  • 1x Nylon ring (seal between heating element and reservoir)

Note: This filter is intended to improve water quality. If your Quooker has a malfunction, replacing the filter will not fix it. In that case, a new set is needed.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Drain all boiling water from the Quooker reservoir.
    • Unplug the power cord.
    • Close the water supply (main valve or inlet combination).
    • Unscrew the hoses from the inlet combination and tap.
  2. Disassembly:
    • Remove the cover from the reservoir by loosening the Allen screws at the top.
    • Disconnect the two connectors (use pliers if necessary).
    • Remove the two polystyrene parts.
    • Loosen the nuts with a socket wrench/nut driver 10.
    • Remove the internal parts (heating element) from the reservoir.
  3. Cleaning and Replacement:
    • Empty the reservoir and remove all limescale.
    • Unclip the old filter and install the new filter.
    • Replace the ring at the top of the element (at the bottom of the brass part) with the new ring.
  4. Assembly:
    • Place the element back into the reservoir (note the correct position of the hoses).
    • Tip: Mark the position of the brass part with a marker on the reservoir for easy reassembly.
    • Tighten the nuts (first hand-tight, then tighten crosswise).
    • Replace the polystyrene.
    • Reconnect the connectors to the cover (they only fit one way).
  5. Connection and Commissioning:
    • Reconnect all hoses (consider a new ring set: 31.402.00).
    • Open the main valve or inlet combination and let the reservoir fill.
    • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the reservoir by pressing the Q on top of the cover.
    • Open the boiling water tap and let the water flow for at least 2 minutes to remove all black carbon.

Your Quooker is now ready for use again!
