Lorreine LP344 Basket plug
This original LP344 Lorreine basket plug is suitable for several Lorreine sinks. The Lorreine LP344 basket plug acts as a strainer and prevents food residue from entering the sink. By pushing the plug down, you completely close the drain of the Lorreine sink, thus acting as a stopper. This allows you to use the sink for hand washing. The Lorreine LP344 basket plug is made of stainless steel and painted black therefore it will not rust. The basket is round and matte black in color. This Lorreine LP344 basket plug comes complete with steel pin, sealing rubber and plastic ring. There is a rubber ring around a steel ring with this basket plug.
If the basket plug sinks into the sink and thus does not stay up, you will need a new basket plug. The ball will then probably have fallen out of the pin.

Nowadays a plastic version with plastic bowl is supplied, because with the (old) stainless steel coated types the coating came off.

Note: Basket plugs can not be returned
Many basket plugs look alike, but every brand and type number has different dimensions. Because many customers guess what they want and cause us and the customer unnecessary costs, basket plugs cannot be returned. Not even if the plug is still in its packaging. Therefore, make sure you order the correct type number. What can you do to be sure which basket plug you need?
1 | Check in the product description if the basket plug is suitable for your sink type number. This plug must have a diameter of 97mm and fit into a Lorreine sink. |
2 | Check that your basket plug looks exactly the same, i.e. shape, rubber in the same place, shape of the knob etc... (if you still have it) and make sure they match the features on Properties tab. |
3 | Are you unable to figure it out? We are happy to help. Take a picture of the top and bottom of your old basket plug. If you no longer have a basket plug, please take a picture of the top of your sink and a picture of the connection of your basket plug set in your sink cabinet and possibly measure the size of the overflow (thin tube which goes to the overflow which is usually 25 or 30mm) and send these pictures, the brand and possibly the production year to us via WhatsApp or contact us via chat or email. The production year and week are usually found at the bottom of the sink on an orange sticker. |
Maintaining Lorreine LP344 basket plug
The Lorreine LP344 sink plug can be cleaned by putting it in the dishwasher to get all the dirt off the basket strainer. For stubborn tea stains, use a non-aggressive detergent, dish soap and all-purpose cleaner. For this, use a cloth and not a scouring pad and not a pan sponge! With this you can clean the plug well and get rid of grease and caked-on residue. After this, use a microfiber cloth to polish the basket nicely. Unfortunately, if the basket plug rubber of the Lorreine LP344 sink plug is broken, you will need to purchase a new plug.

De pin van de korf is wat langer dan het origineel. Ik dacht dat deze daardoor niet zou passen, maar in combinatie met de schotel is het een passende vervanging voor de metalen versie, waarvan de coating losliet na een jaar of twee. Deze is van hard kunststof en ziet er keurig uit. dikke pluim bovendien voor de hulp via de app van de medewerker!
Prachtige pluggen die goed functioneren (afsluiten) en ze staan prachtig in de Lorreine spoelbakken. Alleen gaan ze na verloop van tijd verkleuren, na ongeveer een jaar zie je dat er verkleuring optreedt die je niet meer eraf kan poetsen. Eerst dacht ik dat het aan een of ander schoonmaakmiddel lag, maar inmiddels gebeurt dit in beide spoelbakken. Er komen dan een soort vage lichtbruine vlekken op, alsof het is aangetast.. Wij hebben besloten om elk jaar de pluggen zelf maar te vervangen.
