Shower door strip

Here is our entire range of shower door strips. These clear plastic strips clip around your shower door glass and provide a splash-proof seal. This allows water to leak into your shower tray and not get onto the floor outside your shower tray. The DSEAL strips below are 1 meter long and are suitable for various types of shower doors. Please note that these are slightly flexible; we recommend them only on straight shower doors.

Shower doors have various sizes such as 4, 6, 8, 10mm. With each strip is listed the size for which it is suitable. So before ordering, please measure the thickness of your shower door with a caliper or a folding ruler. If the shower door strip at the bottom is not long enough, the water will still go under the door. Furthermore, some shower door strips have a flap at the front so that the water first moves away from the door, causing it to fall a little further onto the shower floor.

Replacing shower door strips
Shower door strips have various sizes and functionalities. So pay close attention to what shape your old plastic shower door strip is so you can compare them on our website. By measuring the distance between the glass and the edge of your shower (shower tray), you can see how long the flexible flap at the bottom should be. This flap can always be cut off slightly by using a Stanley knife and a steel ruler to cut off a piece of this flap. The flap of the shower door strip, with a round tendon at the bottom or in the middle, ensures that it closes properly and rolls/slides well over the floor or edge of the shower tray. You can easily cut or saw these shower door strips to length. This sometimes makes 1 strip enough for your 2 shower doors.

Cleaning tips
Before replacing the shower doors, clean them thoroughly with anti-scaling and glass cleaner. Then dry the glass thoroughly before installing the shower door strip. This will prevent moisture from getting under the strip, reducing condensation. Do not use harsh detergents on the shower door strip; this can break down the plasticizers, causing the flexible flap of the shower door strip to harden and may detach from the hard edge.
