This gas spring is often used in kitchen cabinets and in cabinets that are mounted in front of microwaves (sliding upwards). If the cabinet currently has a 380N gas spring, we recommend replacing it with a 380N gas spring. Installing a heavier one will make the cabinet easier to open and harder to close. This will place more pressure on the mounting. The pressure/force (N) has nothing to do with the lifespan of a gas spring. If the valve has a heavier grip, you can always go up one notch.
